News Kazband are
currently enjoying the fact that their debut album has now been released, and
they can be found gigging about Melbourne town and beyond… The fiddle,
clarinet and accordion give Kazband that fabulous Eastern European sound, the
music is mostly original (Kyriakou) and the essence of the album dabbles in
Gypsy and Klezmer flavours. Mostly.
A bolero has been thrown in for good measure. Cockroach
and other stories…
(2007) is a fiery instrumental album with Karen Kyriakou (Fiddle), Jason
Day (Clarinet) and Dave Evans (Accordion), making up the original Kazband Trio.
Special
guests on the album are Greg Ryan (Drums and Percussion) and Jonathan Zion
(Double Bass). |
